Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 3
Price: 450 - 550 EUR
Battery life: Up to 231 minutes, or almost 4 hours of cleaning under standard settings (supposedly)
Positives:
- It's got a robotic mop arm! And it's apparently self-cleaning!
- HUUGE suction power of 25,000 Pa! I'm told that's INDUSTRY LEADING in this price bracket!
- The base station has some cleaning detergent thingy that some reviews say last for months without needing a refill!
- Did I mention the dock washes the mop so you don't have to??
Negatives:
- Some unhappy customers say that it sometimes runs over little items on the floor likes shoelaces and charging cables?
- Has no anti-tangle features!! Which apparently means that you'll be removing long hairs from the roller by hand!
A lot of people on Reddit seem pretty happy with this one! Some even say that it offers amazing flag-ship features at a reasonable price!
Based on my current research, this is a leading candidate! The suction power is simply unmatched in this price range, although some say that 25,000 Pa is a bit of an overkill for just getting dust off the floor with no carpets to worry about!
Xiaomi X20 Pro
Price: somewhere around 390 EUR
Battery life: Supposedly around 160 minutes, although I'm not sure why it's so much less than the Dreame if they both have a 5200mAh battery in them (I'm not a physicist)
Positives:
- Apparently one of the cheaper options!
- Self emptying and self washing base station!
- A carpet detection function that is completely useless for her beatitude!
Negatives:
- The suction power is not as good (but again, apparently 7k is enough when there's no carpets around)
- It's got no detergent system in the base station!
- Some people say it lacks proper obstacle detection, which means you have to make sure the floors are clear of debris before use!
Users on reddit seem generally positive on this thing, if you're looking for a basic robot that does the mopping for you. But a lot of people say that the build quality feels a little flimsy!
A great budget choice!
Dreame D20 Pro Plus
Price: somewhere around 260 EUR
Battery Life: we're talking 4 hours here apparently because it doesn't have to waste energy on mopping...
Positives:
- Super impressive 13,000 Pa sucking power for the price!
- Empties dust automatically into a bin that won't have to be emptied for weeks!
- Great value for money if all you're interested in is dusting floors!
Negatives:
- Super limited mopping!
- You have to manually remove, wash, and dry the mopping cloth after every use! UGH!!
- Did I mention that the mopping sucks compared to the other models??
Folks on Reddit seem generally impressed with the vacuuming performance, but they're really not happy about the manual maintenance that this thing requires!
For purely vacuuming purposes, this price is hard to beat!
iRobot Roomba Plus 505 Combo Robot...
Price: 450-550 EUR?
Battery Life: maybe like 2 hours, who knows, really?
Positives:
- Apparently pretty good at avoiding obstacles! According to some...
- Their customer support is supposedly pretty great if you care about such things
Negatives:
- The mopping features seem complicated and lacking
- Some people really hate the app
A lot of mixed reviews on this one, some people say the mopping feature just wets the floor to a point that's a little scary for wooden floors. Some people say it just runs into things... Hard to say.
For this price point the Dreame seems like a better choice.
Roborock Qrevo S
Price: 550 - 650 EUR?
Battery Life: A bit over 2 hours, some say
Positives:
- Incredible obstacle detection and navigation
- Supposedly a really nice app!
- Great build quality, does not feel cheap.
- Auto-washing dock
Negatives:
- Pretty expensive!
- The mopping is not as good as the Dreame L10s
Seems like the new darling of robot vacuums, a lot of people saying it's the most reliable machine on the market if money's not an issue, and that the navigation system is way better than the competition.
A solid, if expensive, choice if you want something you don't have to worry about.
